Siyu joined the team at Matthews Folbigg in June 2026 as a solicitor in the Insolvency, Restructuring and Debt Recovery team.

Prior to joining Matthews Folbigg, Siyu has been in legal practice for 5 years. Her main practice areas are civil and commercial litigation. Siyu appears in various courts, including the Supreme Court and District Court of New South Wales, the Federal Court of Australia, the District Court of Queensland, and the District Court of South Australia. She represents clients at directions hearings, case management hearings, procedural motions, and trials. Siyu also attends mediations and conciliation conferences, and instructs expert witnesses independently or in collaboration with Counsel, where appropriate.

Siyu has experience across a broad range of civil and commercial disputes, including contractual disputes, corporate and shareholder disputes, debt recovery, consumer law, and intellectual property matters. She has successfully represented a diverse range of clients, from individuals to corporations operating across various industries, including real estate, pharmaceuticals, and retail.

As a dedicated litigator, Siyu is committed to delivering exceptional client service. She adopts a strategic and commercially focused approach to dispute resolution, with an emphasis on anticipating challenges, efficiently deploying resources, and achieving practical results for her clients.

She is fluent in English and Chinese (Mandarin). She has also passed the PRC Bar Examinations.
