The Department has the power to refuse your visa application or cancel your current visa for a number of reasons, including if you fail to satisfy one of the requirements for the visa (refusal) or if you have received a criminal conviction / allegedly provided incorrect information in your visa application (cancellation).
Time is critical in appealing the refusal or cancellation. For example: you will not be able to take any further steps if you fail to make an appeal from the Department’s decisions before the deadline.
Making a valid application to appeal is also very important. Do note that not all refusals and cancellations allow a right to appeal.
If you are in detention, you only have days to act on any refusal or cancellation. Please call us immediately.
How we can help you
- assessment of your situations and identify the best plan to overcome the refusal or cancellation
- reviewing your evidence, making your appeal submission and representing you in the AAT
